Picture Time

It was time to do photos again, and I really wanted to do them on the south side of the Temple on a sunny evening. Well, the stars aligned and it was perfect, the blossoms just popped out that week to. I was in heaven. It was the first part of May. My lovely sister in law Heather took them for us again(we love her). The tulips were getting ready to go out, but it gave such a great background.
This girl decided to not nap really at all and was a little ornery, it took some effort to get a smile out of her, but we managed to get a few.
I cannot decide what family picture to get printed.
And on these next two, I love the first one of Rob and I and Melanie, but Julie's head is kind of tilted upwards. The one after I just think Rob and I look tired, but love how Julie looks.
 I really love this one.
 Julie admiring the flowers.
 Great shot of them together.
 Melanie was doing so awesome...
...until she saw the flower bush behind her and then she was DONE! Haha!
Love these of Daddy and daughters.
 And they are done.
Heather caught some awesome light as we were finishing up.
Doing what she loves to do, pulling my hair. It is hard to hold her sometimes, because all she wants is to pull and run her fingers through my hair.
And some of Rob and I.
 Love this little pathway.
So excited for how they turned out. I am still deciding on what to order. Love my family!
Thanks Heather!

Braces and 15 months

Melanie's braces came back, they told us it would take about 4-6 weeks, maybe 3 weeks. They were back after a week and a half. Wow. We went in last Friday to see how they fit. She again started to pucker her face when she saw Bryn(the physical therapist we were working with there before), and then proceeded to scream/cry while she was trying them on and seeing how they fit. They looked really good, she had to flare out the top a little around the ankles, but other than that they were awesome. And after a while of wearing them she did calm down. Rob and I each had to put them on her while we were there.
She definitely doesn't love them but with time hopefully she will be fine with them and they will help her ankles to get stronger.
 Her not so pleased look.
Since she is almost 16 months, but this will be a 15 month update(5/20). Gosh, it is getting harder and harder to make time to post on here. So many things I need to post.
She got braces, yeah!
-She has a cute little wiggle that she does when she is happy or excited. Usually when she is on her belly, I will have to post a video because it is just so cute and hard to describe, it is her little happy dance.
-She sleep with her hands above her head usually. Still wakes up at night, but not all the time. And still takes two naps during the day, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
-Eating by herself for the most part and is doing a lot better at picking up food more with her fingers and thumb, rather than her whole hand. Loves to smoosh food through her fingers.
-She is a hot kid, when we feed her right before bed, her head will get hot and sweaty. Usually happens just at night.
-Getting better at drinking from a sippy. And she loves water.
-Loves her stroller rides, she is so mellow, so she just sits there and chills.
-She is getting more moody, if Julie is around and even looks like she is going to bug her, she will start this squeal and then cry, kind of a scream first. Kind of funny.
-She had her first night with a dry diaper, I went to change her in the morning, and it was completely dry after 12 hours of sleeping. Has only happened once.
-Loves playing with Julie's kitchen things.
Doing what she does best. If she looks at you, it won't be long before she looks straight at your hair. LOVES running her fingers through hair.
 Her sweet after nap face.
She loves Julie's blanket, this was obviously taken when Julie was not around. That blanket would have been ripped from her mouth.
I love our walks with Julie and Melanie, Julie will ride her bike to my parents house, and then she will ride their tricycle, and then she gets in the stroller and they both enjoy some graham crackers. And then my mom or my dad will push the stroller the rest of the way around the block, makes it easy on me, haha.
She learned how to drink from a straw, rather than just in and out sucking, she was sucking and swallowing.
She doesn't venture out onto the tile very often, so this was a first to see her all the way on it.
Standing, she is doing so well.
Julie always invading on Melanie's space, one of these days Julie is going to get it from Melanie.
My mom showed me this website called the greensmoothiegirl.com, and I am so going to start this. I have already been eating a green smoothie every day. Although I don't make it as green as she does, I will slowly add more and more greens. Melanie didn't seem to mind it at all, but Julie would not drink it.
Enjoying a nice warm evening at Grandma and Grandpa Taylor's.
Can you tell she was loving her black beans, her face and head usually end up covered with food.
Holding onto her hips lightly for support, but she is standing straight on her own.
Trying out Julie's glasses, she kept them on for a little bit.
This girl is improving every day, I guess I should start working on her 16 month update.

Reading

I love it when I rotate the books, Julie will just sit and read for hours.
I might have posted this already, but I just love how she is starting to color in the lines, and she is finally holding her pencil the right way.

Good times

Julie loves to grocery shopping with me. So, whenever I go shopping I usually will drop Melanie off at my Mom and Dad's and take Julie with me. Now that Melanie can sit a lot better and Julie doesn't take off running if not in the cart. I ventured out with both of them. First we stopped at Shopko, and Melanie had her first cart ride. I am in love with the straps on carts now, they keep Melanie upright and secure. She was having a pretty good time also.
Next we went to Sam's Club, and Julie and Melanie got to share a cart and again did so well.
Then off to Lee's, where Julie loves to go because they have green shopping carts. So excited that the strap was lower, these seats are slippery and I didn't want a strap up higher or she would have just slipped out. So they were like a seat belt and worked beautifully. They had a blast until Julie started messing with Melanie's steering wheel. Melanie looked like she was going to get Julie. But all turned out well.
Since they only have a limited number of green shopping carts, if we go and they are all gone, Julie gets to use the little black shopping cart. She loves this, and sometimes she prefers this over the green shopping cart, but if she sees a green shopping cart when we don't have one, she will point and say, "I want that one".
I really love taking her shopping with me, and she is so good to follow directions. It is nice to that I can take Melanie with me also.
